If there’s one thing we love about Agora Hideaway, it’s our stunning stretch of the Mole River. There’s nothing quite like cooling off on a warm day, skipping stones with the kids, or just kicking back and soaking up the serenity. But before you dive in (literally), here are a few important things to keep in mind about river access.

Who Owns the River?

ALL rivers in NSW, including the Mole River, are owned by the Crown. While the river itself isn’t privately owned, access to it through our property is something we happily provide to our campers. That means you’re welcome to enjoy the river from Agora Hideaway if you’re booked in to stay with us – just remember that your time in the water is entirely at your own risk.

Swim, Splash & Paddle – But Stay Safe!

We want you to enjoy the river, but it’s important to know that swimming and all other water-based activities are not covered by our insurance as it isn’t technically ‘our river’. There are no lifeguards on duty, so please be mindful of conditions, supervise children at all times, and take extra care after rain when water levels and currents can change quickly.

Stay on the South Side

Our access to the Mole River is on the southern side, and that’s where we ask all campers to stay. The northern side of the river belongs to a different landowner, so please respect private property boundaries and keep your adventures on our side of the water.

A Few Extra River Rules

Take all rubbish with you – let’s keep this special spot pristine!
No soap, shampoo, or detergents in the river – even the eco-friendly ones can harm aquatic life.
No fishing at Agora Hideaway. Help preserve the aquatic species that do live here.
Dogs are welcome but must be on leash and under control at all times.

Enjoy the River, Respect the Land

Agora Hideaway is all about getting back to nature and being sustainable, and we love that we can share this beautiful part of the Mole River with our campers. By respecting the land, water, and local regulations, we can all enjoy this space for years to come. Check our Campground Map if you are unsure of where to swim.

Now, go on – grab your towel, dip your toes in, and enjoy the river responsibly!
