Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take walk-in bookings? Unfortunately, we don’t accommodate walk-ins at this time. To ensure the best experience for all our guests, we require bookings to be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Are you pet friendly? Yes, Agora Hideaway welcomes pets! Please keep your furry friend on a leash and pick up their waste & dispose in bins provided.

Does the campground have showers or toilets? Currently, there are no showers or toilets at the campground. We plan to build these facilities in 2025. In the meantime, campers must be self-contained.

Are campfires permitted? Yes, campfires are allowed. You can use your own BYO raised pit or the provided ground-level pits for your campfire. If there is a fire ban in our area, absolutely no fires will be allowed. Please dispose of ash in bins provided.

Can I run grey water onto the ground? Yes, grey water can be run onto the ground. Any black water waste must be taken with you.

Is there firewood available for sale? Yes, firewood is available for sale. Collection of firewood from already fallen wood and kindling is permitted also.

Where can I get potable water? Potable water is available at the refill station located on Melaleuca Cct, Tenterfield NSW 2372. This is approximately 30 minutes from the campgrounds.

Where is the nearest dump point? The nearest dump point is located at the Showgrounds on Miles Street in Tenterfield. This is approximately 30 minutes from the campgrounds.

What are the check-in and check-out times? Check-in is from 11am, and check-out is by 10am.

Can we fish in the river? Fishing in the river is prohibited and monitored with trail cams. We do not want lures and hooks being left behind where children swim. We have a resident Murray Cod that can often be spotted hiding under logs in the river’s holes.

Is there mobile phone reception at the campground? Mobile phone reception is patchy. Starlink is reliable.

Are there any rules about noise? We ask all campers to respect quiet hours between 10pm and 7am to ensure a peaceful stay for everyone. Generators can be run between 7am and 7pm daily.

Can we bring our own fire pits or BBQs?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own raised fire pits or BBQs, as long as they are safe and used responsibly. If there is a fire ban in our area, absolutely no fires will be allowed. Please dispose of ash in bins provided.

I need to cancel my booking. Can I get a refund?
You can get a full refund if you cancel your booking at least 72 hours in advance. However, if you cancel with less than 72 hours’ notice, we won’t be able to offer a refund. If we have to cancel your booking due to a weather event, we’ll provide a full refund regardless of the notice period.
